A drug trafficking criminal organization in Malaga has been uncovered by National Police agents. The drugs were destined to European countries, mainly Denmark. During the police operation, they arrested 21 people and seized nearly half a ton of hashish and 220.000 euros. The organization had been using a motor-home with a double floor to transfer the drugs.
The sting operation started in late 2013 when while monitoring another investigation, one of the officers noticed a stolen motorcycle and a high-end vehicle parked with no license plates. From there, the investigation began.
Detectives discovered the existence of a criminal group based in Malaga. The suspects were bringing in large quantities of drugs to Spain, destined for other countries in the European Union, primarily Denmark, and then, allegedly laundered the proceeds of their illegal activities, according to sources from National Police.
