May beats records - again

Nearly one and a half million passengers passed through Malaga airport in May. This number is nearly as high as the ones recorded during summer months, like July or August and it had never been as high in May before. The number of travellers, 1.449.149 who flew from or to Malaga represents an increase of 6% when compared to the same period during 2014, as reported by Aena. The number of operations also increased last month, almost totalling 11.000 flights. Specifically, the airport managed 10.810 landings and takeoffs, 2% more than during the same period in 2014.

 

Both international and domestic traffic showed solid progress: 6.6% more foreign travellers and 1.9% more domestic passengers. Of total passengers during the month of May, 1.445.401 travelled on 10.424 commercial flights, mostly international flights.

 

Between January and May 2015, the number of passengers at Malaga airport has risen to almost five million (4.963.201), 5.1% more than during the same period last year.
