Seventy-four spotters, that is, aeronautic photography hobbyists will meet next Saturday at Malaga airport to enjoy themselves trying to get that ultimate “great picture”. This time, photographers from Spain, Portugal, England, Romania and Iran will take part in the photographic event. The open house event is being organized by AENA, alongside two associations, Aire and Friends of the Museum. The event will start at 8:00 AM and continue until 7:00 PM. The sound of the camera shutters will be part of the hustle and bustle of the airport, in a day when 400 flights are scheduled!
Aire is a group formed by aviation enthusiasts, their members mainly involved in plane spotting, as they have explained from the airport grounds, through a statement. Spotters are part of a group of plane watchers that for decades, camera in hand, spend their weekends around airports all over the world in order to shoot a unique picture. Their passion leads them to memorize schedules, airlines and destinations. They often travel from airport to airport in search of the snapshot, and such is their passion often times they will spend a weekend in a city without even seeing anything of it, but rather watch planes, they said.
Several AENA run airports have been the meeting place for this type of activity in several occasions. This year, specifically, the airports in Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat and Ibiza have welcomed these hobbyists.
