Mijas is a beautiful spanish typical town with lovely whitewashed houses nesteled together on the edge of the mountains, overlooking the sea and the town of Fuengirola. Mijas Pueblo has many shops, restaurants and bars that you can strol aaround lazily and enjoy a good meal. In fact, Mijas has some very good eating places that are highly reccomended. You can also enjoy a donkey ride around the village or a ride in horse and cart. Its not far from the waterpark in Torremolinos either were the kids can enjoy a fun day.

Mijas Costa and Pueblo and have long been attracting foreigners attracted by its cobbled streets and real quaint old Spanish ambience. In fact Saturday is a very good day to visit during the summer when the Foreigner Department of the local ayuntamiento offer free guided walks of the lovely rural areas of the town beginning at 10am at the town hall (advance booking recommended).
