Elías Bendodo, president of the Board of Tourism Malaga - Costa del Sol has pointed out the importance of promoting Malaga as a benchmark destination for golf tourism. Costa del Sol from Nerja to Sotogrande has 73 golf clubs, making it the area with the highest density of clubs in continental Europe. Moreover, the spending of the average golf tourist is higher than the spending of other tourism segments: 171 euros per person per day. That is why Malaga “cant lose the opportunity of becoming the main gateway for Chinese tourism in Andalucia”. Malaga can now transfer this opportunity into reality
